This project involves conducting a 150-day pilot study to evaluate granular activated carbon (GAC) treatment at the existing Southwick Wellfield Water Treatment Facility. The facility has existing GAC vessels for treatment of ethylene dibromide (EBD). The project includes submitting drinking water permits to MassDEP to conduct and approve the pilot study, and preparing a report summarizing the results and conclusions of the pilot study.
