Oct 10, 2024 · This project consists of the installation of two granular activated carbon (GAC) adsorption treatment systems and associated appurtenances at wells 3 and 4 to treat perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) contamination. This project also includes the installation of a permanent treatment building and associated electric work to house the GAC vessels. Other work included consists of new centralized chemical storage, feed, and safety systems within the proposed treatment building, site blow-off improvements, as well as miscellaneous equipment upgrades/improvements to existing piping, valves, and appurtenances. The project scope is further defined by the engineering report dated August 2022 (revised April 2023), by D&B Engineers and Architects, as may be updated, amended, supplemented, and approved by the New York State Department of Health. · $4.59M
