Mar 12, 2026 · This project consists of the construction of two new Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) adsorption vessels to remove Perfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) from Well Nos. 1A and 2 at the Village’s Syracuse Street facility. Additional work includes construction of a building to house the new GAC vessels, demolition of the DPW garage, construction of a new DPW garage, and miscellaneous upgrades to the existing treatment and electrical systems. The project scope is further defined by the Basis of Design Report dated January 2024, by D&B Engineers and Architects as may be updated, amended, supplemented, and approved by the New York State Department of Health. · $5M

Oct 30, 2025 · This project consists of installation of a new Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) adsorption treatment system for the removal of PFOA and PFOS from the Village of Williston Park’s Well No. 4. The project includes the construction of a set of two 40,000 lb GAC vessels as well as a new masonry building at the Well No. 4 facility to house the GAC treatment system; updates to the facility piping, power supply, chlorine injection system, and motor control center to accommodate the GAC treatment system; and replacement of the facility’s Packed Tower Aeration System booster pump to accommodate pressure losses through the GAC treatment system. The project scope is further defined by the engineering report entitled, ″PFAS Treatment at Well 4 Basis of Design Report″, dated August 2024, by D&B Engineers and Architects as may be updated, amended, supplemented, and approved by the New York State Department of Health. · $5M
